Chris & his wife Julie came to faith, and were baptized in the Holy Spirit, in 1990. They have two grown up sons, Nick & Jack, who both chose full immersion baptism at a young age, and are going on for the Lord!
Before they came to France, (in 2004), Chris was the Assistant Pastor of an Evangelical Church. They now run ‘The Rendez-Vous’ Christian fellowship in the Vendee, and have been blessed to see lives changed by the power of God.
In 2012, at a Filling Station meeting at Chef Boutonne, Chris was miraculously healed of a chronic back injury that he had had for over 30 years. He Praises God for this daily!

She is now looking after the Filling Station meetings in Central Vendéé and also helps run Alpha courses there.
Loves working with the local community, sharing time with other people in the village and running a small B&B.
Mike and Eva Willis
Mike grew up in a Christian home, but drifted away from the church in his late teens when church seemed to have no relevance in his life.
However God dramatically got his attention when he was in his mid-30’s and he gave his life to the Lord.
He became an active part of the ministry team in his church and at “New Wine”. Was also part of the “Alpha” team from HTB and went on to run a Diocesan “Retreat House” for a while.
He worked as an Environmental Health Officer for 13 years, ran his own business for a while, then after taking afurther degree undertook post-grad research in St. Pol de Lion, France, before working in research at Exeter University in micro-biology and bio-chemistry which led to him obtaining a US patent linked to the space shuttle project.
He took early retirement to look after his wife Margaret who sadly died of cancer.
Mike has lived part time in France since 1999 and full time from 2008 and has been an active part of the church there.
He always felt that there were many Christians in the area that the organised church didn’t reach. Then in the summer of 2011 he went to New Wine determined to find what the Lord wanted of him and met a lady named Liz who had travelled from Pas de Calais, France and was introduced to the Filling Station Ministry and Richard Fothergill.
As a result of discussions with Richard a small team developed and the Filling Station France was born in March 2012 and has been meeting monthly since.
